GLORIA JOYNER

Candidate for Orange County Commissioner, District 7

A Champion for Our Community.
A Fighter for Affordability.

Fighting for Residents. Building a Stronger Community.

My decision to step forward comes from real-life experience. After spending years fighting to protect my home, I understand how difficult it can be for everyday people to navigate systems that don’t always work in their favor.

As your Orange County Commissioner, my focus is simple:
make sure government works for the people it serves.

Affordable Housing & Housing Stability
Housing is one of the biggest challenges facing our community. Families should not have to worry about being priced out of the place they call home.

Priorities:
  • Support development of workforce and affordable housing
  • Expand access to homeownership opportunities
  • Advocate for fair housing practices and accountability
  • Ensure residents are protected from unjust displacement

Goal: A community where working families can afford to live, grow, and stay.
Infrastructure That Keeps Up With Growth
Growth is happening across our district, but infrastructure must keep pace.

Priorities:
  • Improve roadways and traffic flow in high-growth areas
  • Ensure new developments contribute to infrastructure costs
  • Plan proactively for schools, transportation, and public services

Goal: Smart, responsible growth that benefits residents, not burdens them.
Public Safety & Community Trust
Every resident deserves to feel safe in their home and neighborhood.

Priorities:
  • Support first responders with the resources they need
  • Promote community-based public safety strategies
  • Invest in prevention, including youth and neighborhood programs
  • Strengthen trust between residents and public safety agencies

Goal: Safe neighborhoods built on trust, fairness, and accountability.
Responsible Development & Community Voice
Development should reflect the needs of the people who already live here.

Priorities:
  • Encourage smart, balanced growth
  • Require meaningful community input in development decisions
  • Protect the character and stability of existing neighborhoods
  • Ensure development includes housing, infrastructure, and community benefits

Goal: Growth that works with the community, not against it.
Representation That Listens
Too many residents feel unheard. That must change.

Priorities:
  • Maintain open, accessible communication with residents
  • Be present in neighborhoods—not just during election season
  • Advocate for those who feel overlooked or ignored
  • Make decisions with transparency and accountability

Goal: A local government that truly represents and responds to its people.

This campaign is about more than policy- it's about people.

I know what it means to fight for what matters. And as your commissioner, I will bring that same determination to fighting for you, your family, and this community.
